De Bruyne famously represented himself during the most recent contract negotiations to become the highest-paid player in the club's history after signing a new deal at the end of May 2022. His contract expires at the end of the season, though, and he is expected to leave on a free transfer.

Erling Haaland is the second highest paid player at Man City after arriving from Borussia Dortmund in 2022 on a salary of £19.5m per season.

Jack Grealish is the third highest-paid player at Man City after De Bruyne and Haaland following his mega-move from Aston Villa in 2021.

Bernardo Silva is reportedly paid the same amount as Grealish (£15.6m) after he snubbed interest from PSG and Barcelona to stay at Man City.

John Stones earns £13m per year, which is more than Phil Foden (£11.7m), Rodri (£11.4m) and new signing Josko Gvardiol (£10.4m).

Manuel Akanji and Ruben Dias both earn an annual salary of £9.4m, according to reports, while Kyle Walker earns £9.1m every year.

Youngster Rico Lewis currently earns the least of the Man City first team players at £1.3m.
